Biography

Armand Ruci was born in 1982 in Tirana, Albania and immigrated to the United States at the age of 15 after the Civil War that engulfed his home country in 1997. Growing up, he was fascinated with reading autobiographies, and this interest led to some early exposure to reading since he was drawn to real life stories. Later, Mr. Ruci, who now teacher history at the high school level, developed a passion for ideas. In Immigrant Life, Armand explores the issue of how past events become part of our collective unconsciousness and stay with us for the remainder of our adult lives. Immigrant Life is Mr. Ruci’s first book.
